I Was Planning In June To Go To Disney World For A 7 Night Stay?

I have been to Disney World before but want to book a package with the value resorts. How does the dining plan work as I would like to eat breakfast at the resort but eat in the parks during the day.

you didn't specify what dining plan you got but i'll explain how it works in general.

dining plan credits are electronically loaded on to your"key to the world" card that also acts as your room key and park tickets.

the dining plan is accepted at many restaurants throughout walt disney world property from the hotels, to the parks, to downtown disney.
locations that you can use your dining plan are clearly marked as are menus.

at quick service restaurants and for snacks all you have to do is order and let them know you have the dining plan and hand them your key to the world card and they will confirm what type of credit you are using (quick service meal credit or snack credit)

at table service restaurants they will ask you if you are on the dining plan when you are seated.
they will then ask to see one key to the world card from each room rented.
you then order and eat and then at the end it works like it would with a credit card.
they take your key to the world card and come back with a receipt for you to sign.

again i'm not sure what dining plan you chose BUT if its either the quick service plan (includes 2 quick service meals per person per night, 1 snack per person per night, and 1 hotel refillable mug per person) or the plus dining dining plan (includes 1 table service meal per person per night, 1 quick service meal per person per night, 1 snack per person per night, and 1 hotel refillable mug per person) i strongly recommend that you just purchase your breakfast at your hotel with your own out of pocket money as breakfast is very cheap. that way you will use your 2 meals for lunch and dinner and your snack for a snack at some point during the day for something like a bottle of soda, bottle of chocolate milk, or an ice cream.
