Why Is There A Limit On The Amount Of Liquid Brought On An Aircraft?

It has to do with a liquid explosive that was found on a passenger several years ago and I suppose that type of explosive isn't as dangerous in small amounts so now everybody else has to suffer the consequences with ridiculous liquid restrictions. Thanks, terrorists!

Licencing And Scooters Australia?

I was given a Kymco Bug Vibe Scooter and was wondering if you can drive it on a P1 licence in Queensland Australia.

Best Answer

Motorbike licences, including scooters, are a different class of licence from a car licence. You will need to get L plates, learn to ride it and pass a practical test.

What Is The Law Regarding Naturalized American Citizen Coming From The Philippines?

I left when I was young with my family. I held a philippine passport for eight years and was able to get naturalized when I became of legal of age. I have not renewed my phillippine passport for more than a decade now, but was still able to come in the phillippines 3 more times since then. I dont stay for more than two weeks since I dont really have much reasons to visit. Lately I have been finding out that I was supposed to renew my phil passport. I dont recall losing my phil citizenship but what are the legalities for this matter. Not everyone can visit every year or stay longer than 2 weeks because of financial reasons $(2000 per ticket). Im not looking for opinions just legal facts. I also have to spend for lodging and food.

Best Answer

Here are the facts:

You may return to the Philippines any time you desire, just use your American passport. No need for a Visa because your stay is less than 21 days.

You lost your Philippines citizenship when you were naturalized. You have the option to reacquire your Philippines citizenship in accordance with Philippines RA 9225. If you want to reacquire your citizenship you need to visit the nearest Philippines Embassy or Consulate with your NSO birth certificate, old Philippines passport, your USA passport and marriage certificate (if married) and pay appropriate fees (cost less than $75.00) and take oath. It has been several years since my wife and son obtain dual citizenship, so check Philippines Embassy or Consulate document requirements for dual citizenship before you actually visit to ensure you have all required documents. Also you need to check with Philippines Embassy or Consulate to determine if there is an outreach program in your area, where Embassy or Consulate staff visit your city. Use popular Internet Search Engine Google to determine closest Philippines Embassy or Consulate for further information.

If you use services at Philippines Embassy or Consulate to regain your Philippines citizenship, they will also be able to assist you in renewing your Philippines passport. Once you regain your Philippines citizenship, every time you travel to the Philippines, you use BOTH passports. Meaning you show port authorities both passports. The reason for this is because by having both your USA and Philippines passport are stamped, there is no confusion with travel information/dates and you will not need to worry about Philippines Bureau of Immigration imposed fees at a later date if you decide to stay longer than 21 days.

Though I am an American, I have had close ties with the Philippines my whole adult life, since the first time back in 1980 when I lived and worked in the Philippines. My wife and son are both dual citizens. My son acquired his citizenship through the Philippines Consulate outreach program, and my wife through the Bureau of Immigration, Intramuros Manila. What I posted is factual and from personal experience.

About the Expensive Flights - I have made more than 33 flights to and from the Philippines since 1980. In the past ten years when flying became more expensive, I have NEVER paid more than $1,000.00 for a flight. The cheapest time to fly is during non peak travel season, when school is in session stateside. Because the vast majority of people or student under the age of 17 or 18 years old and are in school (K1-K12), families do not fly that much. Because there is less of a demand, its cheaper to fly. During Holidays, and school breaks (Spring, Summer, Winter/Holiday Season) school students are on break, more families are flying, so it is peak travel season, so more expensive to fly. Bottom line - fly during non peak season and save substantial amounts of cash.

If you want a airline ticket referral or have any questions, feel free to contact me through my Yahoo profile. i know a Filipino travel agent based out of Salt Lake City, Utah who is well known and respected for his outstanding service to the Filipino and Fil/Am communities. He works out of his home, and works closely with Airlines Consolidators, so he can get discounted seats if you plan ahead and have flexibility travel dates. he only makes $20.00 profit per ticket and can do this, because he has little overhead. No office space rent or insurance fees. I have been using his services for twelve plus years (Fly every year and spend 5 months in Ermita Manila condo) and he has always got me the best airline ticket deals. Which Is Better To Live In: Arizona Or Utah?

According to your own personal experience. BTW, I'm not a Mormon.

Please explain...

Best Answer

I have lived in both Arizona and Utah. Both states have friendly, wonderful people, and both states have hostile and unfriendly people. I think Utah has the better ski resorts, but if you don't like skiing it doesn't matter. Both states have some wonderful scenery. Nothing compares to the Grand Canyon, but Utah has a lot of wonderful National Parks.

I prefer Utah in many ways, but I think it was better that I didn't raise my children there, because religion is so much taken for granted and in many cases not followed faithfully.

Usps Shipping Question?

I bought an item off eBay yesterday and paid extra and had it expedited to me. The seller updated the listing as shipped, but with no tracking number. I called him twice to get the tracking number. When I got the tracking number I looked it up and all it says it that the shipper has sent usps an electronic notice that the item will be shipped, I called the seller and he says that he dropped off the item at usps earlier today around lunch time.
Usps still says the same thing at 7 pm.
My question is, has he sent the item off to usps? Or has he not.
I paid for overnight shipping I expect to have the item within 2 days. His ad says he ships item within a day after payment it has been over 24 hours. I just want to know if he has shipped it like he says he has. I need the item tomorrow. If a seller updates the listing as shipped then he should have shipped it. I'm not going to be happy if he just updated it to shipped to make it look like he has been to the post office today.
Thank you for all your help guys!!!

Best Answer

You are correct'electronic notice' means nothing.

When you enter the tracking number ask for E-mail notification. That way you will not have to be checking USPS.COM constantly.

It is not unheard of for a package to be delivered with only the'delivered' /'attempted' scan being made.

Translate A Letter Into Korean For Me? [A Kid Is Being Bullied]?

So there is a new Korean boy at my school and he rides my bus. I don't often ride the bus because I have club activities and my friends offer to give me rides, however it came to my attention that last Thursday, when I wasn't on the bus, he rode and made the mistake of getting off at the wrong stop. He chased the bus until the bus driver stopped and got back on, and the other kids then went on to tease him about the way he talked and other things.

This made me so mad, because I'm not afraid of the other kids on the bus because they are all acquaintances of mine, and I know how rowdy they can be. I'm a real advocate of bullying and I hate to hear these kinds of things happen.

I've been learning Korean for the past year, but of course one can only go so far, so I want someone to please translate this letter I'm writing for the Korean boy WITHOUT GOOGLE TRANSLATE.

Please and thank you.

[Notes: His name is Chuck (American name) and he is younger than me, however I have never talked to him so translating this should be somewhat formal (like using ?)]

????? Chuck,
???? ????. ??? ????. You may not know me very well, but we ride the same bus. You may not see me riding the bus often, because I have club activities, but I often see you in the hallways.
When I wasn't on the bus I heard you were teased on Thursday, and I noticed you haven't ridden the bus since then. I hope it is not because those kids were rude to you. This makes me very sad. I'm sorry for what those kids said, I hope this hasn't given you any bad memories of America.
Please ride the bus again, if they are mean to you again I will stand up for you because this week I will be riding the bus. Those kids are not that bad, they are just stupid! ??? I am learning Korean and we can be good friends!

Eat well and take care,
Bell

This is very helpful so thank you in advance! Also if you can't translate it, please spread it so it can be done!

Is My Passport Due For A Renewal?

As basic as this question may seem, I can't seem to find a straightforward, certain answer, so maybe you guys could help.
I got my (regular international) passport back in 2004 and at the time I was 8 years-old. I have heard from a few sources that if you were issued a passport so many years ago under the age of 16 then it will be due for a renewal. (I mean, really. I don't even look a bit like I did at age 8.)
Also, I have not travelled out of the country since then and that old passport actually got destroyed.

So if I went to get a new one, would I have to go through a special process of getting a replacement or would I be due for a renewal anyway? There is a chance I will be in Europe for a year and during that time my old passport would have expired, anyway.

Help would be appreciated, will rate well for good answers. Thanks.

Best Answer

If you have a US passport, your must get a new passport if you want to go overseas because those issued to children under 16 years old are only valid for 5 years.

In the US people 16& 17 years old are still considered minors. I8 years old can apply an adult passport for the first time. All the details are here:

What Do You Think Of This News Article That Occurred In The U.A.E.?

Best Answer

I think it is great. The middle east is one of the last hold outs for taking the gospel to the world.

We are like the frog in slowly heating water. We are in the middle of one of the greatest miracles of all time, the restoration of the gospel, and we often are not even aware.

It has been said that there is no form of wickedness that Sodom and Gomorrah had that we do not now have. And with the ramping up of missionary work throughout the world, the end may be nearer than we think."Those who have eyes to see can see".

Has The Orthodox Church Made A Diplomatic Statement On Stopping The Conflict Between Russia And Geor…

The Ecumenical Patriarch needs to make a statement to stop the conflict between Russia and Georgia they are both Eastern Orthodox countries, He must have some influence?

Best Answer

He has not yet to my knowlege that however dose not mean he and the other Patriarchs are not working behind the sceens to end the tragic fighting between our brothers.
www.mospat.ru/index.php?page=4220...
however Metroplitan Kiril of Smolenks, Russia said the following
Today our country is facing the danger of war and a new surge of slander that those who don't like Russia's historical choice are ready to raise," Metropolitan Kirill of Smolensk and Kaliningrad pointed out in his ministerial speech on conclusion of the service in the Assumption Cathedral of Smolensk. His words are cited by channel "Vesti".

On the feast day of the Mother of God of Smolensk icon Metropolitan Kirill noted: "Today we have offered up a particularly ardent prayer to the Odigitria and henceforward we must daily pray that the ordeal we are undergoing now should come to a peaceful end as soon as possible and that peace be restored between the Georgians and the Ossetians, two peoples sharing the same faith".

Having reminded about the feat of the peace-makers, who had perished, the metropolitan said: "We entreat God and Our Lady that the bloodshed stop as soon as possible and that peace and well-being should reign in our country, as well as in Ossetia, in Georgia, in the Caucasus and everywhere".
and Metropolitan Herman of the Orthodox Church of America
has said the following www.oca.org/news/1615

SYOSSET, NY [OCA Communications] -- On August 11, 2008, His Beatitude Metropolitan Herman issued the following statement concerning the recent military conflict between Russia and Georgia that broke out in the disputed Caucasus region of South Ossetia on August 8.

"The hierarchs, clergy, and laity of the Orthodox Church in America are observing the recent conflict between Russia and Georgia with heavy hearts. In the course of many years we have regarded our close relations with the Orthodox Churches of Russia and Georgia as precious signs of communion and solidarity. It is thus deeply painful to see the war between Georgia and Russia, and the resulting suffering for many in the war zones in South Ossetia and Georgia.

"We pray that the political leaders, as they make their decisions, may care above all for the life and safety and well-being of their peoples.

"We pray that the cessation of hostilities through a cease-fire will create the conditions for a peaceful settlement.

"We pray that all political leaders and political institutions may exhibit realism and sanity as they dedicate their efforts to a peaceful resolution of a conflict which is causing suffering to many people and which has dangerous implications for the relations among states in the Caucasus, in Eastern Europe, and in the whole world.

"We thank Almighty God for the witness for peaceful relations between Russian and Georgia consistently given by the Patriarch of Moscow and the Patriarch of Georgia. May this witness be an effective avenue for the overcoming of violence and all threats to peace in the Caucasus region."

His Beatitude has also sent letters of support to His Holiness, Patriarch Aleksy of Russia and His Holiness and Beatitude, Catholicos-Patriarch Ilia of Georgia."The violent conflict between Russia and Georgia, resulting in much suffering and bloodshed, is observed by Orthodox Christians in America with deep concern and with heavy hearts," Metropolitan Herman wrote."I extend to you my profound sympathy as you face the tragic conflict. Your spiritual leadership is, of course, a powerful witness in the Russian and Georgian societies. May God bless your continuing efforts to promote realism, sanity, and hope."

Not Checking Any Luggage. How Can I Bring A Small Pocket/Swiss Army Knife Overseas?

I'm going on a month long backpacking trip in Europe. All my companion and I are bringing is what we can fit in our hiking packs which are being brought as carry-ons. I'm a big fan of being at least slightly prepared so I'd like to have a knife or multi-tool with me for our adventure.

I could always buy one once I arrived, but that seems wasteful and I'd just like to know if I'm overlooking any possibilities.

Cheers!

No can do. You'll have to buy one in Europe, and leave it there when you return if you're still not checking baggage.

Best State Of America To Live In?

I have always wanted to go to America and I was just wondering what your opinions are on the different states. I am currently living in Tasmania, Australia so I would probably want to move somewhere That is not too hot. I really love mountainous places with lots of lakes and/or rivers nearby. And big cities are good as I am only young and need somewhere with good public transport.

Thanks for your answers :)

I would say Flagstaff Az. if you want to live in the mountains, be near (within a days drive) other climates, and want to experience winter. I assume you are ok with heat so you could try southern California. For me, If i ever got the courage up I would move from the states to sydney. The grass is all ways greener on the other side.

Is Magic Kingdom Or Hollywood Studios More Time Consuming And Fun?

The three parks we want to visit are Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, and Typhoon Lagoon, in 2 days. Two of those parks we'll have to visit on one day, and we're wondering whcih one is more time consuming so we can have a whole day for that.
There'll be kids/people aged 20, 17, 14, 13, and 7, so high-thrill rides are good.

Best Answer

Definitely go with Magic Kingdom for the full day. I actually highly recommend Hollywood studios as a half-day park. I've gotten there in time for the 3:00 parade and had plenty of time to do everything I was interested in. Just a recommendation, when you get there get fastpasses for Rock n' roller coaster, it'll be your longest wait as it's the biggest thrill ride. I went there once during spring break, a high-crowd time, and Tower of Terror's wait was only 30 minutes and that's not bad at all, so you can wait it out. I would go to Typhoon Lagoon in the mourning and Hollywood studios at night because it'll probably be open later and then you can catch the night-time show, Fantasmic, which is awesome.

Magic kingdom has fewer thrill rides but more stuff in general. Space, Thunder, and Splash mountain shouldn't disappoint and I'm sure you'll find rides like Haunted mansion fun as well.

HS is the smallest of the four parks, so it's a great half-day trip.

Where Do I Go To Pick Up My Family From A Carnival Cruise At Port Canaveral?

I need to pick up my family tomorrow from a cruise they went on, but have no idea where to pick them up. They are on a Carnival Cruise (the Ecstasy). I know they said there is a parking lot near the terminal, but will I have to pay for parking? Also, random side-question, if I have to pay for parking, is most paid-parking cash only? Or can I pay with a card? Just trying to get everything in order. Thanks!

Best Answer

Just follow the signs to the ship. It will say what terminal the Ecstasy will be at and there will be a spot where you just pull up to pick up travelers. They all come out through the same tunnel so it won't be hard to miss them. You do not need to pay for parking if you are just picking up. If you've ever picked anyone up from the airport it's pretty much like that.

Why Are Northern Virginia Drivers So Aggressive?

I've lived in Virginia all my life, and i've always heard that Northern Virginia is one of the worst places to drive because people are so aggressive and intolerant. Obviously I've been around here a long time so I've gotten used to it, but is there any particular reason why?
and 5 at either end.

The other reason I suspect we are so bad is that DC's population is so transient. New York has a big transient population, but it also has an enormous local population, which sustains a driving culture into which the transients must fit. There are strong local norms about things like merging, when to slowdown for a yellow light, and so forth, which newcomers are eventually forced to learn."Learning to drive like a New Yorker" is a sort of rite of passage, like knowing where to get good bagels. People who arrive from elsewhere may lament the aggression of New York drivers, but they also recognize that navigating within the system is a skill that must be acquired, and they're a little proud when they master it.

DC, on the other hand, has grown enormously, importing new drivers who come with their own driving culture. People around here talk about how bad DC drivers are, but they don't talk about"driving in DC" as a particular skill. People don't seem to recognize that they need a new set of traffic skills to navigate around here--and they don't, because there doesn't seem to be a coherent set of skills they could acquire.

Fun fact: D.C. boasts a 95.5 percent"relative accident likelihood" against the national average and an average of 5.1 years between accidents. :)

Whats The Best Thing To Do With My Afro Caribbean Hair?

Iv got natural just past shoulder length hair. I want to know is what's the best thing to do with it. Relax it? Keep it natural? Weave? And what's the absolute best of the best products to use on my hair. I need a step by step guide if your thinking keep it natural. Iv looked up many websites and they totally contradict each other. I'm in the UK please help.

Best Answer

It's entirely up to you.

You need to decide which you can cope with in terms of time and finances, eg weaves can be expensive

There is no guarantee that any product I recommend will work on your hair.

That's the beauty of natural hair: what works for someone else might not work for you. It's a trial and error process.

I haven't seen your hair etc

You need a cleanser- shampoo/shampoo bar, deep conditioner and some form of daily moisturiser.

I recommend Youtube there are many natural hair vloggers there
Some I recommend: naptural85, fusionofcultures (she is from the UK)www.youtube.com/user/fusionofcult..., whoissugar, 160days2lose2, iknowlee

Also there is large Natural Hair group of FB with over 41000 members

Can You Take Hair Products On The Carry On? Or In Luggage?

Does it have to be in a clear container

Best Answer

They have to be less than 3 ounces is they are in carryon. you put them in a big ziplock. If they are in your checked bags, it doesn't matter, but if it's in a squeeze bottle, I suggest putting it in a ziplock too as changes in cabin pressure can make them leak all over your stuff.

What Is The Cheapest Part Of Manhattan To Live In?

I would imagine Harlem, but I've heard that the crime rate there is horrible. I guess a better question is what is the second cheapest part of Manhattan to live in?
REAL NEW YORKERS ONLY! NO SPECULATIONS!

Best Answer

The two cheapest neighborhoods in Manhattan are Inwood and Washington Heights.

But they are so distant from the rest of Manhattan that you'd be far better off (and a whole heck of a lot closer to the places you want to be in Manhattan) if you lived in parts of Western Queens or Northwestern Brooklyn.

Here's how you do this:

Go to flickr (or any large photo sharing site).

Put"Irish and English castles" in the search window. (I think you're right, that it's Irish, but could be British, too). Look at the photos that come up.

When you find a couple that look like the same one, and have the same name, you go to wikipedia, and search there...make sure these people labeled their photos correctly...some people put up old photos and don't remember, or simply saw so many that they aren't sure...or the same city will come up in the tags, even though it's not the image...it's in their trip, or something like that.

Using this technique, I have come up with almost the exact same image:www.flickr.com/photos/tropico/399...
Malahide Castle.

Check with Wikipedia.

Bogdana Khmelnitskogo Street (is considered the most beautiful in the city),
Novosibirsk State Museum of Local Lore,

80-year-olds Are You Happy You're Going To Die Soon, Given Where Australia Is Going?

I am watching four corners. An 80-year-old man who lost all his money through retire funds and said he is glad he will be dead soon because Australia is turning into hell.

Do you agree? Do you realise how corrupt Australia is getting?

Best Answer

Yes.

Australia is corrupt now - extremely corrupt.

The current mob of politicians think running a budget is privatising all the assets we taxpayers bought over the years.

NSW has just about run out of assets to privatise - oh! enter the NBN... how long before they flog that, oh! they haven't finished it yet... oh well!

Water - they are stuffing the dams and aquifers, so that we will have to turn to'de-salinated' water at high cost to the'privatised de-sal white elephant plants' that are making a huge loss - thence the'fire sale' to some of'their' Mafia mates... to sell back to us with now polluted dams - from the CSG mob.

Where will these politicians be when we the'locals' are stuck here paying for their'miss-management' of the country?... they will be in their'kick-backed - condo's in Bermuda or some tax haven, laughing at us stupid'hicks' for letting them do it.

On The CTA Blue Line, How Do You Change Cars During The Train Ride?

Because I see people do it every now and then, even when the train is moving, but I never tried it myself in all my life, being 25, now living my whole life in Chicago.

1. Is it as simple as just opening one door, but then you'd also have to open the door for the other car. Is that easy to do during the ride?
2. How dangerous is it trying to move between cars during?
3. They seem to say emergency exits. So does that mean it's not actually legal to move between cars?

Best Answer

1. It is a clumsy procedure. The doors require a bit of strength, and can be sticky at times.
2. You bet it is dangerous. Unlike a regular train, the space between cars is open and unprotected. It's not hard to lose your balance and fall off.
3. You could be ticketed for doing this, although it is not likely anyone will make a big deal out of it.

If I Wore A Renaissance Dress To A Tower Of London Tour, Would I Get Funny Looks?

Well, I have to live my life as a queen SOME how.

Best Answer

do whatever u want but if i were there i'd be staring u down nawmsaying? If you did go in a Renaissance dress you will obviously get funny looks, people are judgmental and afraid of breaking through social norms, you can prove a point by wearing the dress and also finally feel like a queen. If you are afraid of you getting funny looks i wouldn't do it then because people will definitely stare but it would be nice to show people that you don't care what they think.

Beautiful Places To Visit In Japan?

Could anyone tell me about some places in Japan? And could anyone give me names of places like"Kyoto" and"Harajuku" or just famous and beautiful places in general, that have attractive scenes, shops, sights etc? I've never been to another country yet, so correct me if I'm wrong about anything in this question ^_^'.

So, in general, the best places to go shopping, the best places to see the scenery, the best shrine places, traditional temples and popular places to eat, buy clothes and for tourists; the places with the most beautiful names, or even just your favourite place in Japan! Thanks to everyone, your answers are all very helpfu, and I really appreciate itl~!!

Best Answer

I loved Kyoto! Kiyomizu-dera was definitely my favourite temple. It's a bit bigger than most temples and it has a lot of different structures. It's located high enough so you can get a great view of Kyoto. There are also nice shops on the street that leads you there. I also liked the Kinkaku-ji temple. There's not much to see there to be honest but that place is just so beautiful. I also highly recommend going to Fushimi Inari, a shrine. It's well-known for it's path lined with thousands of torii (gates).

Back in Tokyo... I think that Harajuku is overrated but that's just my opinion. It used to be a huge thing for fashion but it's not as impressive as it was. For shopping, if you're looking for high-end stuff, Ginza is the place where you want to go. Shibuya is also great for shopping. I also liked a mall called"Aqua City" where you will also be able to see Tokyo's Statue of Liberty, and the one in Kawagoe (which, by the way, is an interesting place to visit for its traditional architecture and it's not far from Tokyo). If you're still looking for temples, I recommend that you go to Asakusa where there's also a nice little market. You can also go to the Skytree Tower from there. Oh, and the Daibutsu (big Buddha) in Kamakura is a must-see, plus there's a beach nearby.

If you're planning on using the train (e.g. if you want to visit Tokyo and Kyoto) it is likely to be a lot cheaper for you to buy the JR Pass (Japan Rail Pass). It's a bit costly but train tickets can be very expensive. You should know, however, that those can ONLY be ordered from OUTSIDE of Japan, which means that you have to order yours at least 10 days before your departure.

Whats Is London Like?

Best Answer

I think London is one of the best places to visit. I've never been to London but I've seen and read a lot of things about London. London is a leading global City, most well known of there art, fashion, education and many more. It's mostly featured in movies thus, making us more curious on what it's like to be there. And the places are really beautiful, specially their buildings architecture. I suggest you visit this site www.bestcheaphoteldeals.com/london/ to know more about London, in case you have a plan in going there. These are the places you can visit when you get to London.
I know someone from London and I think that his really kind. He has many friends as well so I guess he's quite friendly. Maybe people in London are friendly like him.

What Was The Point Of Occupy Melbourne?

a lot of them didn't know what they were protesting about to begin with they were protesting against something that doesn't happen or apply in Australia most of them chose not to work and live of welfare and they just seemed to be egged on by american students

Best Answer

Occupy movement people reassured each other that the rest of us were either stupid or evil for not agreeing with them about the distribution of wealth and power in society. So they occupied our public places and created disruption to our lives to show us how evil and stupid we were. We listened to them, disagreed with them, ignored them to a point, and then moved them on.

The point of their protest was them feeling smarter and more moral than the rest of us. I'm happy for them that they feel that way.

Cheapest Time To Go To Australia?

Recently I discovered I have Australian blood. So now I wanna go see Australia first hand.
However I am not rich. I can not afford a $1,600 plane ticket. Is there a particular time, it's a lot cheaper ? Like $500-$600 ? My dream is to go one day. I live Kentucky.

Best Answer

Without trying to be rude, Miami, if you cannot afford the plane fare you certainly will not be able to afford a stay here. It is very expensive here for accommodation/food/car hire etc. Our cost of living is expensive compared with the US.

Just to demonstrate the equivalent costings. all in US$s :-
US Motel/Hotel $60-120/night. Aust. $100-250/night.
US meal/person decent restaurant $10 - 15. Aust $20-40.

Actually you can almost double the cost of anything.

Then you have to have an appropriate visa, travel insurance including health and enough money to support yourself while here, which in most cases is $Au5000/month or access to that amount and a return ticket.

Still, as you only just discovered your Australian connection, hold the dream and start saving. You will achieve it.

$1,600 from Kentucky seems like a good deal actually.

The best time to come to Australia is in our late spring about October/November.. The weather is getting warmer and the native flora is blooming.

Is A Backpack Okay To Wear In London?

I am going to London in a few weeks with some friends and i am terrible about setting my purse down and just leaving it. On top of that we will be biking. I wanted to just buy a small backpack but my mom said that she wasn't comfortable me carrying around that much money in a backpack. we are obviously going to be tourist and will make an easy target. Is she right? Should i deal with a purse?

Best Answer

Honestly I feel like most people that get pickpocketed either aren't being careful or are being super obvious about being tourists. I've gone into London loads of times and haven't had a problem. Just make sure if you have a backpack to take it off when you're on the tube and just set it down at your feet. This is for safety and it's also just polite. Try to keep the money on your body (in a discreet jacket pocket) or hidden deep in your bag. Just make sure that anything valuable is wrapped in something and at the bottom. Usually when people get pickpocketed it's on whatevers in the outside pockets. I doubt anyone's going to have the balls to steal your entire bag unless you're being careless.

What's The Weather In London In Mid April?

So this year, I was have a school trip to London and I really don't know what kin of clothes I'm gonna get. It's from the 21 to the 28th of April. How will the weather be?
What kind of clothes will I have to bring? Thank you!!

Best Answer

Towards the end of april, spring in london is in full sway.. That mans you have a good chance of cold frosty mornings and sunshine during the day. However bear in mind that the UK is an island and has unpredictahble weather at the best of times.

Its best in my view for you to bring at least one jumper long sleeved clothes a couple t-shirts, no shorts! Maybe a raincoat as well.

Cairo, Egypt To Phoenix Metropolitan Area: Weather Difference?

I'm originally from Cairo, Egypt and I may live in Phoenix metropolitan area (like Scottsdale). I was asking about the weather difference. OK, to tell you about the weather in Cairo, Egypt throughout the year:

It NEVER snows. In winter (December till February), the weather is cold, and at night it could reach as low as 40-45 degrees Fahrenheit. Highs could be in the high 60's.

During Spring (March till May): The weather starts getting warmer and warmer (In mid-April, the temperature could surge to 110 degrees, but later on decreases; though reaching 100 degrees is very common in May).

During Summer (June-September): The weather becomes very hot, and the daily highs rarely go under 100; though they usually reach 110.

In Autumn (October and November): The weather is still hot; usually surpassing 90 degrees, but could reach the low 70's in late November.

Humidity in Cairo is average; ranging from 30 to 55%.

So how does the weather in the Phoenix Metropolitan area differ from that of Cairo, Egypt? Is it hotter, cooler, or what? Please explain...

Best Answer

Here are the weather averages for Cairo for a year
www.weather.com/weather/wxclimato...

and here are the weather averages for Phoenix for a year
www.weather.com/weather/wxclimato...

It can go as high as 120 degrees F in Phoenix in the summer and often over 110 degrees F

If it snows here it is a rarity and melts just as fast as it came.

That depends on how much you paid for shipping.

If you paid $ 10.00, or less, count on 7 - 10 weeks, (The container ship takes 6 - 7 weeks to cross the Pacific Ocean. Add post office times on both sides and you get...)

If you paid $ 15.00 or more, 3 - 7 days by air.

"????,????,????????????,???????.??????, ??????. ???????:?,????.)???:??, ????????????, ?????."

Best Answer

There was a girl abnormally ugly, no one wanted to marry her, she hoped to be kidnapped and sold. At last the dream came true, but there was no buyer for half a month, the kidnapper sent her back, she firmly refused to leave the car, the kidnapper bit his lip and made a difficult decision: let's go, don't want the car any more. On reflection: how nice, this way it's possible to open a business selling cars, wouldn't cost anything.

What Do I Need To Know Before I Go To Spain?

I'm going to Spain this summer and I just want to know what are some things that I'm accustom to in America that work differently there and what are some good brands of clothes to wear because I don't want to look like your stereotypical american tourist and if you know any good places to go see in Barcelona and Valencia that would be awesome too

Best Answer

BRANDS don't matter...they have their own popular brands of clothing.

Are you male or female? What age? You're going to look like a tourist, no matter what...their SHOES are completely different from ours, and you don't have time to break in a new pair, while you're there...why even bother spending the time in a shoe store, when you could be checking out the sights? Be comfortable. To be fair, every city has a different style, so...as you're probably on a tour with several cities, the styles will change a bit. For example...people in Madrid dress classically, they mostly look like they're going to an office, even those who aren't. In Andaluc?a, they dress up...more feminine, for women...dresses, not pant suits, more frilly. In Barcelona: anything goes. And you're not going to change your clothes twice a day, either.

They eat differently than we do. You're going to look like a fool, going into a restaurant at 6:00 and asking for a full meal. Meal times:

Early: Breakfast. Cup of coffee with milk, and toast. You can have porros or churros, if you're up for something like a donut. Toast may have ham, pat?, butter, or olive oil on it, depending on what they have in the bar/restaurant, and your tastes.

Mid morning (around 10 or 11:00): Most people will have a late breakfast that's actually more substantial than the first thing in the morning...more likely to have a ham sandwich or pastry.

Lunch: Lunch hour runs from about 1:00 (early) til 3:00. The busiest hour at a workman's lunch place is around 2 - 3. Lunch is usually a two-plate deal. First plate is soup, pasta or rice (this is when most people eat paella, which Americans think of as the national dish...make sure, wherever you have it, that it's made in the restaurant, and doesn't come out of a box). Second plate is a meat or eggs, and potatoes, or sometimes a vegetable. You can get this"men? del d?a" with a beer or wine, usually around 10 Euros, and if you pay a little extra, you can get soda.

Tapas: Late snack...usually, just about anything that might be served in a meal, only the plate is a saucer. In some places, there are limited times for tapas, in others, you can get them any time of the day. In Barcelona, they tended to be more little tasties on toothpicks for about a Euro each (so if you ordered a whole plate, it ran up there). In Granada, they wouldn't serve them until after 8:00 PM. You can make a meal out of a few tapas...and you get to taste more dishes that way. It can run you very cheap, or you can get more and it winds up costing as much, if not more than an ordinary, sit-down meal.

Dinner is usually served from 9:00 on, and busiest times are usually around midnight. If you're not interested in a huge, formal meal, you just forgo this.

Use your good manners, and no one will be mean to you.

I'm sure you can find your own good things to do and see...just look up the cities. You can probably even download and print tourist maps.

In Barcelona, if you're thinking about touring the Palau Musica, plan that first, as they sometimes close down for rehearsals, and you can't really get a schedule of that. It's an architectural marvel that you might be interested in.

Check in advance on tickets to the Science city in Valencia. I'm sure you can get caught in lines. Many larger, more popular places, it really behooves you to pay the extra to buy your tix online, and not have to stand in line at the window.

Also: carry water with you, and carrying snacks, for when you get tired and hungry, can help keep your costs down.

Is The Heat In Melbourne Ever Going To End(10 Points)?

i honestly cant take this anymore we have had almost 5 weeks of above 30 days yes we had a cool shift for a few days but when is this going to bloody end its supposed to be autumn and they said that autumn and winter is going to be unusually cold this year

Best Answer

I hear you, I hate it too.

I was walking to work yesterday and everyone had smiles on their faces and dressing bright and colourful, but I was miserable and felt like I was going to die. According to the Bureau, it's going to get worse before it gets better. Next Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday will be 36-37 degrees. Hopefully a cool change should arrive by Thursday and eliminate this heat once and for all and I'm praying it will bring rain.

What Do Spanish People Think Of All The British Tourists That Keep Coming Over?

Just wondering, because it some places you'll find fish and chips before a tapas bar!

Best Answer

I would imagine some of them dislike it but its nothing like mass immigration if that's what your getting at
1. Many Spanish town and other nation's small town rely on British tourism and their people would simple starve without it as its their only income.
2. The brits don't take anything they can spend over a thousand each in a week and have to pay for any medical treatment and they can't claim benefits.(immigrants in UK CAN get medical treatments and benefits and a house all for free without putting anything into UK)
3. The brits leave after a week or two

What Is Pata Pata;explain?

"Pata Pata" - Miriam Makeba -This song is about a traditional South African dance. It is written in the Xhosa language and means something like"touch touch".

Miriam Makeba wrote"Pata Pata" as a young woman in 1957, before she ever left South Africa. But it was not until 1967, that she recorded and released the song in the US.

"Pata Pata" entered the American music charts and was very successful. I read in her biography, that she never received a penny for the song. Apparantly, her manager messed up her royalties.

Is There Any City In USA Where I Can Find Near Forests Of Pine , Beaches And 23 Degrees Average?

warm temperate climate. and good oportunities for architects too :P

Best Answer

San Diego
70 miles of beachs
Pine forests are about 20 miles to the east in the Lauguna Mountains (one town is called Pine Valley)
Avg Temp is 70F (21C) year round

San Diego is one of the nicest cities in the country. It's a major tourist destination and there are tons of things to do. With 70 miles of beautiful beaches, countless parks and gardens, major league sports, dozens of golf courses, world class museums, Tony Award winning theater, great cuisine, best weather in the country, high tech industry, major universities, and the best zoo in the world, it's my choice as THE place to live and play in the USA.

Is Arizona A Friendly State?

Especially towards Muslims? I mean I'd really love to live in the USA. In fact, my best friend is American. So, if I were to live in Scottsdale or Gilbert, would I have a problem from people or the authorities because I'm a Muslim?

Please explain...

Best Answer

Yes. Try Tempe, a university town.

Is It Possible To Only Use $2000 On A Trip To America?

Me and my friend (17 and 18 years old) are going to a trip to Anaheim CA at the end of the year and have around 2 grand each. We wanna go for a week and a bit. Is this enough? This is NOT including flight tickets (they are sorted already). 2 grand is for everything else though (accommodation, transport, food etc.) We want to know what 2 grand will get us, any suggestions on what to do in our time there with only 2 grand each? Disney land will be a must ! Thanks in advance.

Best Answer

$2000 each, right, with a total of $4000? It should be enough, depending on the type of accomodations, food, etc. you want. You will not be able to enjoy deluxe accomodations and expensive restaurants, but basic accomodations, food, transportation should be covered with that amount.

Do You Need To Be A Disney Vacation Club Member To Stay At Bay Lake Tower?

Wanting to stay at Bay lake Tower but read somewhere that, that hotel is for Disney vacation club members?

Best Answer

No, anyone can stay in them. They are just considered Deluxe Villas so you will pay a lot more for them. You willl also pay a premium for a theme park view. They are nice and the theme park view is amazing. The location can not be beat. You are walking distance to the Magic Kingdom. The other parks are a bit of a hike though

Japanese High School... What Would Happen If...?

If you were caught spray-painting the school walls at night, where would you be taken? The school, or a police station?
Who would be called?
Your parents, or your teacher?

First of all, he will be taken to the Poice station ( in Japan, to"KOBAN").

And, at the same time, His parents, the school master and the teacher in charge will be called.

Should Japanese Remain As Ignorant?

I didn't know what country is iran

but a Iranian boy said to me

if you come to middle east

I will kill you due to your ignorance

and he said japan is garden of the Us

how many are there iranian who think about that it is the right thing to kill the people who are not muslim

although I don't believe the god

if i bilieve there are gods
they are in my heart
for me god is the view to live in friendship

what do you think about it?

Best Answer

If you lived in the middle east, and said you didn't know what country Iran is, it would look pretty ignorant, and he might have a point.

But this is Asia.

It's important to be aware of one's own ignorance so that you can always be open to learning new things. Study other people's cultures, countries, histories.
It is only a shame when someone stops thinking that they need to learn anymore.

Education is the key to peace and friendship, not religion.

Florida? Disney World?

Ok so this summer, my mom has decided that we will be going to Disney World since my 9 year old sister has been begging to go since like forever. But I was wondering, do you think that I would enjoy it? I'm 13 an in 8th grade. I don't really watch Disney and I don't really know what the park is gonna be like. So what are your thoughts and opinions on the park? Is it fun, boring etc. Also please let me know if you or someone you know has been there and tell me about the experience. Also if you think that there is another park better than Disney world that is in Florida, let me know and I might have to consider it to my mom if I like the description you gave me. Thank you. Xxx :)

Best Answer

I'm 20 and have been going to Disney world basically every year with my family and still love it. There's just no other place like it. It's the happiest place on earth and you'll love it. It does get crowded in the summer though but the warm weather is nice. Hope you enjoy it!

I'm currently at Disney world as I write this

What Time Should I Get Up?

I'm going on a trip to NYC with my school April 6 and the bus leaves at 8am. What time do u think I while get up the morning we leave? What time is a good one so I can have enough time to get dressed, take a shower, eat something, and get to my school ( we are leving from the school) so I can get on the bus on time? Thanks!

Best Answer

You might want to get up early, like around 5:00 A.M. That should be plenty of time. If that seems too early to you, maybe 5:30 A.M. I would not try to push it to 6:00 though, that might not be enough time. Have fun in NYC. :-)

What's Canada Like?

What is Canada like? Is it ever warm? Are they hard to understand with the accents? Where do they go shopping, dont they all live really far away from eachother? I everyone French?

Best Answer

Sad you went to a school where they were unable to teach you anything about Canada. I will try.

1) Very Big
2) Yes it wamed up today to 25F it was 10F
3) No I can understand Canadians quite well you get used to the accent. Can you understand people that have YOUR accent?
4) Trading Post, Farmers Market,Co-op (get rebate if you are part owner),on line if you have a computer thing, main street
5) No most are Canadian the French live in France mostly.

You could try looking on Google do you have that in your area? You could use YAHOO! search also do you know how? Even on You tube if it is available in your area. Just enter the word Canada and much will be revealed.

Best luck with your school and geography lessons. Much to learn about the world.

Edit missed one . Yes I live next to my neighbour. He is many hundreds of centimetres down the road from me. Do they have roads where you live?

If Going To Potters Bar By Bus? In The Evening?

Would you pass Stanmore on the way to Potters bar from Barnet or pass Stanmore coming from Potters Bar? I know its random, just trying to find the quickest way but TFL seems to just to the longer routes,
I should rephrase this, in the evening and if coming in from Seven sisters/tottenham even Liverpool street? My friend met a guy (she lives in Stanmore) she met him on a bus and he said he lives in Potters Bar, but both were going to Barnet on the bus, it wasn't Stanmore exactly but near there. Thing is he never invited her to his house, has just been going to hers and now she feels he is lying. She has pulled him up on it and he said he was coming from his mates house in Tottenham and had to get to Barnet to get to Potters Bar!?

Best Answer

Barnet to Potters Bar you wouldn't go anywhere near Stanmore' Have a look on Google Maps

Barnet to Stanmore 8 miles
Barnet to Potters Bar 4.5 miles

Tate Modern --Sitting grandly on the banks of the Thames is Tate Modern, Britain's national museum of modern and contemporary art. Its unique shape is due to it previously being a power station.

National Gallery- The crowning glory of Trafalgar Square, London's National Gallery is a vast space, filled with Western European paintings from the 13th to the 19th centuries.

Natural History Museum - As well as the permanent (and permanently fascinating!) dinosaur exhibition, the Natural History Museum boasts a collection of the biggest, tallest and rarest animals in the world. See a life-sized Blue Whale, a 40-million-year-old spider, and the beautiful Central Hall.

London Eye- The EDF Energy London Eye is a major feature of London's skyline. It is the world's highest observation wheel, with 32 capsules, each weighing 10 tonnes, and holding up to 25 people. Climb aboard for a breathtaking experience, with unforgettable views of more than 55 of London's most famous landmarks - all in just 30 minutes!

Science Museum- From the future of space travel to asking that difficult question,"Who am I?", the Science Museum makes your brain perform Olympic-standard mental gymnastics. See, touch and experience the major scientific advances of the last 300 years; don't forget the awesome Imax cinema. Entry is free but some exhibitions require tickets.

Victoria and Albert Museum- The V&A celebrates art and design with 3,000 years worth of amazing artefacts from around the world. Royal Museums Greenwich- Visit the world's largest maritime museum, the historic Queen's House, and the Royal Observatory Greenwich: all now part of the Royal Museums Greenwich. Stand astride the Prime Meridian, touch a meteorite, and see the stars in the planetarium. Some are free to enter; some charges apply
