Legitimate Websites To Find Rental Properties In Vancouver, BC?

Hi there,

My partner is going to be studying at Simon Fraser University towards the end of this year and I will be accompanying him to work. I was wondering if someone local could tell me what are the best ways to find legitimate rental properties? Some of the websites I've seen so far seem a little dubious. Here, we have Trademe.co.nz which is the best place to go, I am wondering if Canada, and Vancouver in particular, has a similar website?

If your partner is going to SFU there are several cities that you could find accommodation in that are in easy reach [a few minutes by car or bus] other than just Vancouver which would tend to be the highest in price range.
Besides just Vancouver also use'Burnaby' or Coquitlam' as search criteria; rent is always cheaper in the suburbs and both are just a few minutes drive [or bus] to SFU... and fact is SFU is actually in Burnaby.
