a lot of them didn't know what they were protesting about to begin with they were protesting against something that doesn't happen or apply in Australia most of them chose not to work and live of welfare and they just seemed to be egged on by american students

Occupy movement people reassured each other that the rest of us were either stupid or evil for not agreeing with them about the distribution of wealth and power in society. So they occupied our public places and created disruption to our lives to show us how evil and stupid we were. We listened to them, disagreed with them, ignored them to a point, and then moved them on.

The point of their protest was them feeling smarter and more moral than the rest of us. I'm happy for them that they feel that way.
