Would You Support Australia Getting High Speed Rail Similar To Japans Also Do You Think It Would Be …

What pros and cons can you think of if it ever came into effect.

I have always thought this would be a terrific idea. I'd also support any scheme that further expanded our railways, and took more freight off the roads. I think the B doubles and triples are far too dangerous, given that our roads are so poor in the Northern half of Australia.

High speed rail, from Brisbane to Sydney, Syd to Melbourne, Melb to Adelaide, Adel to Perth, Perth to Alice Springs, Alice Springs to Darwin, Darwin to Townsville. That sort of thing. It would really improve travel in this country, and provide a lot of work for thousands of people.
